David Spencer lives near Cannock, Staffordshire England. He produces wildlife and animal paintings using various techniques.
- Oils and acrylics
once the black surface has been scratched off, a white surface is revealed which is then painted with a fine brush giving an unusual and distinctive look.
- Slate Painting
These are Welsh slates painted using acrylic paint. These are mostly used to paint birds, but can be used for any animal.
David is happy to undertake commissions for pet portraits based on photographs. These are usually produced in acrylic, oil paints or pastels.
Exhibitions of David’s work are mostly in Staffordshire and the West Midlands but he has also exhibited several times at NEWA (National Exhibition of Wildlife Art) on the Wirral and T.W.A.S.I. (The Wildlife Art Society International – of which he is a member) at Twigworth Gloucestershire.
